Todd was born in Seattle where it is often overcast. From an early age he began making things with his hands out of whatever materials he could find, not knowing he would later do the same as a career.
He currently lives in Los Angeles where it is often sunny and where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, taught painting and drawing to high schoolers, installed art exhibitions at MOCA, The Broad Foundation, and the Hammer Museum, and designed and built theater sets before finding his way into production design and prop styling.
Narrative film work and the frozen, isolated moments of photography demand very different approaches to set design and Todd finds a lot of inspiration straddling between and blending the two. His work is colorful and whimsical and tends to feel handcrafted rather than manufactured.
He’s had the pleasure of working with clients such as Target, Apple, Gymboree, Reebok, Gap, Adidas, Barbie and Tidal Mag. He's also been lucky enough to collaborate with some very talented photographers like Amanda Marsalis, Meiko Takechi Arquillos, Tiger Tiger, Emily Shur, Stephanie Gonot, Dylan Coulter, Anna Palma, Christa Renee, Colette de Barros, Aaron Dyer, Daymion Mardel, Rennie Solis, and Max Wanger.
Todd is a middle child.
